WE NEED CURRENT PICS.
I've been interested in your progress for a good year now. (I still should have won the bicep contest  )

I'll probably update with pics this weekend.

We haven't been doing much recently it's been an off week for us, but we will be back in the gym tomorrow, so I'll update with what we have going on there tomorrow.

My weight is edging into 200lbs, as of 30 seconds ago I was 198.0lbs, naked.

August 1st: 174.6lbs
November 5th: 198lbs

So I'm up 23.4lbs in 4 months.

I haven't had a large fat gain so I think everything is going well. I don't feel as full today, but that's largely because I haven't worked out in almost a week, and I didn't eat as well as I should have over the weekend.

I did want to ask how important do you guys think taking Vitamins, and Minerals on a consistent basis is? I have 3 tubs of Animal Pak, but I just can't always bring myself to swallow those like 16 pills everyday. Any input would be really appreciated. As always thanks for stopping by.

Be well.

Every person of influence for me, including Eric, have always told me multi vitamins are worthless, and organic foods are a much better approach. Minerals Eric used to stress as important, however.

Eden
11-05-2012, 08:48 PM
ok, cool, because that's about how I felt. I always figured if I was eating whole food, and getting a good variety of food I would be fine. Since that's what I do I have never been too concerned, whenever I took them I felt like it was too much.

I'll look into minerals though, lol.

Cobalt
11-06-2012, 12:17 PM
I'll have to stress to be careful on the minerals. Slowly add them into your diet and monitor how you feel. Everyone is different, and not every mineral will play nice.
There is a certain mineral that straight up kicks my ass when I take it - I still haven't been able to isolate it, but when I take it, I know it.

Also, congrats on the insane growth. I remember your first photo from the bicep competition, such a twig. :D

This training is starting to get at me, I wake up sore as hell, my joints ache, walking is harder due to my weight, it's not much fun, but I'm growing like crazy. I need to find something for my soreness, joints and such, think I'm going to try Achilles. Other than that things are great, still right under 200lbs. I'm trying to get over 200, but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen anytime soon I seem to be at a sticking point, however I am getting quite stronger, I usually couldn't manage 42.5lbs on crossover for more that 12 reps, but managed 50lbs for 5 reps so my strength is up.

I am getting tired of my hands, hurting all the damn time and my joints swelling stuff like that, if you guys have any suggestions it would be very appreciated, I will try to get some new pictures up. I've been kinda busy since everyone in my life seems to like to lose their minds at once.

Thanks for reading guys, be safe, and if you have any questions let me know.

i don't know how you handle all that volume, i am dead after a few heay sets. If you are feeling run down turn it down for a little while and just focus on diet and rest and come back swinging in a week or 2.

Strong man!! I'm more of a dumbbell guy when it comes to chest. Maybe once a month I would go for barbell. Workout looks nice bro!

Alright, I knew it was going to be a beastmode day since I got a call from the guy I train with saying that he took a shower and had 20 missed calls, and 54 text messages. So he was mad and not in a terribly good mood, so here's what a Beast mode workout looks like for me.

Beast mode Sunday Legs:

15 min stretching, foam rolling

Leg Extension:

65lbs X 15
125lbs X 15
180lbs X 12
210lbs X 10

Leg Press:

555lbs X 14
735lbs X 10
825lbs X 10

Barbell Squat:

135lbs X 15 (this effing hurt, my quads were so pumped felt like my legs were going to rip apart. I was going as far down as possible for me.)
225lbs X 12 (I took your advice here Rodja and used a larger base, and lower bar position on my back)
315lbs X 8 (This was just beyond my comprehension, I hurt like a mofo)
225lbs X 20 (Yep I was pretty surprised by this, because didn't mean to do this many. 225lbs widow-maker just because I wanted my legs blown out. Also ATG)

DB lunges:

40lbs X 8 per leg
40lbs X 8 per leg
35lbs X 8 per leg

Lying leg curls:

95lbs X 13
110lbs X 13
140lbs X 8

Seated Calf press:

210lbs X 10
250lbs X 8
15 seconds later
290lbs X 8

Seated Calf Press (the one you can load plates on)

90lbs + whatever the thing weighs X 12
140lbs + whatever the thing weighs X 8

That was all of it for today and good lord it wasn't fun. I think it took us about 40 minutes to do all that once we started actually lifting I'm not including the foam rolling, and stretching. I don't have a lot to add to this really, other than being pissed makes for good workouts haha.

Thanks for stopping by.

Shoulders/Tri's

Hammer Strength Shoulder press:

1 plate each side X 15
2 plate each side X 12
3 plate each side X 8
3 plate each side X 6

DB lateral raises:

35lbs X 15
45lbs X 12
50lbs X 8

I think this was the hammer strength deadlift machine? I dunno, we did shrugs on it.

2 plates each side X 15
3 plates each side X 12
3 plates + 25's each side X 12

Single arm Cable lateral raises:

15lbs X 10 each arm
25lbs X 8 each arm

Close Grip Bench:

135lbs X 13
185lbs X 12
185lbs X 12

Straight bar Tricep pushdown:

50lbs X 15
80lbs X 12
95lbs X 10

Machine Tricep Extension:

50lbs each arm X 15
60lbs each arm X 13
70lbs each arm X 12

I'm not sure what this is called, but you basically get in the position like you're going to do a pendlay row, then you grab an easy bar behind your legs, and keeping your arms straight raise it as high as you can. Hits the long head of the tricep and makes it burn like a mofo.

40lbs X 12

So that was the workout today I figured I would log it since I actually have time, and I don't often log my shoulder, or back days.

Anyway, I found out that King Kamali is going to get with us tomorrow, and make us a new Routine, Nutrition plan, and supplement plan for the next 3 months during the off season, and will be advising us on what to do on a weekly basis, so I'm super excited about hearing what he thinks. Anyway, from what I understand we are about to kick our training into high gear, and actually killing some stuff in the gym, and out of the gym, so I'll keep you guys posted, it should be a gnarly ride.

Be Safe.

then what in the fuck have you been doing here?, you have more volume in a day than I do in a week and you're making leaps and bounds. Any higher gear and you'll go super saiyan and have blonde hair in you pics. I know you're young and still super motivated but jeasus christ, how much more could you possibly do?

I'm aware that it's pretty hairy, but really I could go harder every session. I mean I didn't start breaking a sweat today until after the first set of cable lat raises. Also, yea it seems that's what we're going to do.

Schedule:

Go to gym: Eff things up
Go to Store: Eff things up
Go to Home: Eff things up.

your intensity and attitude are awesome. You are already pretty damn big by most standards, pushing 200 lbs at your height is impressive. I'm a few pounds heavier, a few inches taller and a few % more body fat and I get comments all the time, you must get bugged constantly. You are more muscle mass on a smaller frame.
Keep it up and you are going to be freakish.

We changed some stuff per King Kamali's advice and slowed our reps WAY down for today, so the weights are less than usual, but the cadence was 5 seconds up, and 8 seconds down.

2 plate X 10

42.5lbs X 10

Seated DB bicep curl (Curl up, hammer down)

30lbs X 10
30lbs X 10
35lbs X 10

Machine Preacher Curl:

35lbs X 12
45lbs X 10
55lbs X 10

Seated DB Preacher Curl: (curl up hammer down)

25lbs X 8
20lbs X 8
15lbs X 10

Hanging Leg raises/kicks:

That was the workout for today, the cadence made me want to die, and really showed how mental this type of thing is, because the muscle was capable of doing it, it just hurt and required a TON of concentration.

We are still working on getting the stuff to King Kamali, and to hear back from him on exactly what he wants us to do. In other news, I am now wearing XL shirts and none of my old clothes fit so my training partner gave me some of his old clothes that didn't fit. It was a bag of 15 shirts, and a pair of sweats, all of it either the high dollar Hollister, or high dollar Abercrombie. I'm not terribly sure what to think about this, the clothes are comfy as hell, and I'm not sure I've ever had a wardrobe of clothes so expensive. Anyway, I was super stoked to get a ton of nice as hell clothes that fit me.

No I'm not on right now. Goal weight is around 240lbs, at least that's the goal right now. Currently I'm trying to harden up, and stay around 200-210. After that I'll start gaining again, depending on how my body feels.

Hey guys I'm back. A lot has changed, diet has gotten a little leaner, more meats, more carbs, less fats. Workouts are effing death, I DO NOT like them, but I'm sure that will change in a few weeks once I become accustom to them. The largest changes is that most things are in the 4 sets of 20 range, and that is just an unholy amount of work. Cardio 5 times a week now.

Nothing new really to report, I'm sorry that I haven't put up pictures, but I have been busy with the bustle of the holidays and such. Most likely I will post pictures very soon, and then will not again until 3 months after that date, because I want you guys to see the changes that happen from this stuff with King Kamali. Anyway thanks for stopping by, if you guys have any suggestions on stuff to do for recovery or supplements that you like to help speed up recovery post them up.

Be safe.

I know you've turned into a pain slut but this is just gluttony for abuse. You posses a mental and physical fortitude that I can not fathom.

For recovery I would suggest hot tubs and protein in martini glasses, shaken not stirred.

Eden
11-23-2012, 12:03 PM
Yea I'm just going to take more epsom salt baths, and all that. I bought 10lbs of whey Isolate so hopefully that helps since the added protein intake should help recovery. I also got 2 bottles of achilles, so we'll see how that goes.

DJM

i generally work in the 5-6 exercise, 3-4sets, 15-20reps
recovery is minimized buy flooding the system with protein and aminos before and after the workout......even on im sore, but its minimal

just a thought,
these workouts are taking a toll on your recovery and joints perhaps as a result of too much too soon? quick massive weight size gain, your lifts have shot up as well, in a relative short period of time in bb'ing years...........i think you are taxing your body in a way it isnt ready for, and perhaps hasnt fully grown into this new build and strength

its quite easy to do this on cycle when guys generally get stronger than they are and push more than the joints would like....just in your case its that and this year of huge changes

Eden
11-23-2012, 02:13 PM
I will definitely back off if I have serious issues. Right now it's just that I'm sore and the workouts are crazy, the soreness isn't unbearable just want to keep it at a minimum. I do appreciate the advice dj and I will let up if it's too much.

DJM
11-23-2012, 02:55 PM
iv reread everything, your bar/goals are set very high, so itll probably be something youll have to get used to, the intensity of the workouts and the volume these guys do is something......i dont care what they are jacking, its still tough.....gear helps no doubt, but it aint magic and you still punish yourself

good luck

Updates: The new training is very strange, hoping I'll adapt to it soon, it's definitely burning fat like crazy, I went to pinch stomach fat and there was noticeably less than the last time I pinched it. Weights are super low right now, but they will go up once there's an ability to.

One of the Eastern European techniques for increasing recovery from high volume workouts is to alternate hot and cold temps during a shower. It forces blood in and out of tissues and flushes out toxins while infusing muscles with nutrients to speed healing. Give it a shot.

One of the Eastern European techniques for increasing recovery from high volume workouts is to alternate hot and cold temps during a shower. It forces blood in and out of tissues and flushes out toxins while infusing muscles with nutrients to speed healing. Give it a shot.

Hams/Abs today:

Lying Leg Curls:

4 X 20 X 50lbs

Standing Single Leg Curls:

4 X 15 X 30lbs

Hip Adductor:

Floor Crunches:

Hanging Leg Raises:

4 X 20

Ab Posing:

4 sets of 30 second holds

30 minutes Cardio.

Workouts are as you can see pretty intense, I have been noticing changes here just in the first few weeks so I am optimistic about the future here in the next 3 months. Getting kinda leaner, and staying the same weight currently (195-199). There really isn't much else to say diet consists for consistent meals of meat and carbs, not a lot has changed there I guess, not eating as much. I'll keep you guys updated. I also started taking Achilles 3 days ago, so I will be periodically giving reviews about that. Stay tuned.

be safe.

Chest/tri day:

Machine Bench Press:

85lbs X 4 X 20

Incline DB bench:

35lbs X 15
40lbs X 15
45lbs X 2 X 15

Cable Crossover:

20lbs X 4 X 20

Military Pushups:

Standing Rope Pushdown:

30lbs X 4 X 20

Skull Crusher:

30lbs X 4 X 15

French Press:

30lbs X 4 X 20

Machine Tricep Extension:

50lbs X 4 X 20

Most of these the weight I gave was per arm. The Achilles is doing pretty well been taking it for 9 days now, and it's actually helping a little bit, it kinda takes longer through the day before my joints start being sore, and hurting. Hopefully it will go away totally. Not much else to update, the workouts are easier. I'm leaning out a little bit while remaining about about 197-199lbs so that's good, things are starting to get a rounded more separated look to them. I'm pretty happy about it.

Thanks Burly, I actually had heard of that, I try my best to do that every day, it can get pretty hard to deal with mentally. But gotta do what you gotta do. I'll redouble my efforts to do those everyday. Thanks man.

I've also read about the hot cold muscle and blood deal before. Never tried it and like BBG said keep it to 2-3 times a week.
My main lift days are MWF so those are the days I'd do the hot and cold trick on.
The logic behind it makes sense and its free so what do you have to lose by trying it out.

I'd like to see a study that shows this if you have one. I don't see how increasing circulation can get less effective, but maybe I'm missing something.

I see what your thinking burly but like with everything else the body adapts to the hot cold treatment and over time it'll become less and less effective. Kind of like building up a tolerance to a substance.
No studies to back up what I'm saying as they are just my thoughts on the subject.

I've been in that world before... you have to get 30% more clients than you need to replace your income, because the income fluctuates quite a bit from month to month and at different times of the year.

I loved the work, but it was a challenge to make a living, at least in my area. Though I worked with anyone, I specialized in workouts for those who had a desire to compete in BBing.

Most current pictures are on post #57 on page 6 I think. :]

Hamstrings:

Romanian Deadlift:

135lbs X 20
155lbs X 20
185lbs X 18
185lbs X 15

Lying Leg Curl:

70lbs X 20 X 4

Standing Leg Curl:

35lbs X 20 X 4

Hip Adductor:

105lbs X 50 X 40

Floor Crunches

4 X 50

Hanging Leg raises:

4 X 20

30 minutes Cardio

Few things are up, my weight is down to 190, I think I'm just losing fat, as I'm noticeably leaner on my mid-section, I'm also eating a fair amount of food. I currently feel a lot less bloated and tired carrying myself, so that's a good feeling. The Achilles seems to work really well, I just of just noticed on day that my joints didn't hurt anymore so I was glad about that. I had to switch gyms though because the gym I was going to got mad at my training partner for training people/giving advice because they said their trainers were losing business. So we are looking for a new gym, and just working out at the one he works at.

Leg day: Quads

Leg Extension:

50lbs X 20
60lbs X 20
70lbs X 20
90lbs X 20

Smith Machine Squat (ATG):

135lbs X 15
185lbs X 15 X 3

King Kamali Leg Press:

2 plate X 50 X 3
3 plate X 50

Walking DB lunges:

15lbs X 30 steps each side X 4

Butt Blaster:

30lbs X 30 each leg X 4

I was having issues on the squats because we switched gyms and the new smith machine isn't great, I was having a feeling in my knee like it was going to split apart. Other than that things feel alright. My partner and I have been recommending Achilles to like everyone at the gym since most these people have money to blow I hope Antaeus sees a slight up tick in sales.

My diet has changed to a little bit more protein say 50-100g more per day. Tired as hell, body fat is coming down I'm about 189lbs-190lbs. I'm just hoping to make it through the Christmas weekend without killing anyone, traffic is hell, everyone is pissy, workouts are hellish, and stress abounds, but whatever, just gotta keep on movin'. Hope all of you are well.

you could try switching to front squats on the machine? That could put the path of the machine in better alignment with how you want to move.

OK Mofos, I've been off for the last few days, my body is feeling kinda better, still taking Achilles I think I will add this to my usual protocol, my body has kinda swollen up. I'm also back up to about 195lbs but a tad leaner, so I'm trying to keep that up. The plan is to hit 200lbs, but stay kinda lean, and solidify at 200lbs. Then start to gain again, so hopefully things will work toward that.

Alright guys an update from your lame ass friend Eden. I'm doing well, joints are kinda messed up but seriously Achilles is amazing, taking Fish Oil to help with it too. Training is about that same. I found a wholesaler for supplements so I'm totally stoked about that. The girl I'm training lost a total of 1' of size off her measurements and 5.2lbs in the first month so I'm pretty excited about that job.

Currently I'm weighing about 191-195lbs, I feel like I'm getting more quality size and not just crap bloated muscle, but I'm not totally sure, my training partner says I'm good and I believe him so I hope that I'm on the right path.

Sweat like a dying animal due to the heat in the gym and the intensity. Very exhausted but feeling good, we've decided I'm refining at/upto 200lbs for probably a good 4-5 months, then I'll start trying to go up again. Right knee is effed, but I'm doing everything I can to help it, so I hope I'll feel better, I've been having it pop every step for a few days it's pretty irritating, but oddly enough if I work my quads, just quads and they get pumped it stops.

Went to the gym by myself today, so I figured I'd give an update.

Quads:

Leg Extension:

70lbs X 20
90lbs X 20
110lbs X 20
110lbs X 20

Leg press:

285lbs X 50 X 4

Barbell Squats:

135lbs X 20
225lbs X 20
315lbs X 12
315lbs X 12

Walking Lunges 20lbs DB:

40 steps X 4

Standing Calf Raises:

BW +110lbs X 13
BW +90lbs X 15 X 3

Cardio 3mph 20min

I'm down to about 190-194lbs, looking really full gained a tiny bit of definition, I don't feel as bloated, or heavy recently which is great. I've added in Blueberries, Vegetables, and Green tea into my diet, eating about 1/3lbs vegetables a day, 3-4 hand fulls of blueberries and about 2-4 cups of unsweeted green tea. Love the vegetables they add a nice new flavor and textures to my food, and the blueberries make my shakes taste delicious. Other than that there isn't really a whole lot to report.

Oh forgot to add that I've been eating a lot of mashed potatoes. I think my body likes potato carbs they seem to keep me really full.

Been a while, leaning sorta, been told by my buddy that I'm apparently as thick as a brick, and full. So these are good things, back is effed up from bad acne I get during the winter months, once that clears up I'll try to post up some pictures. I measured my calves, bi's, and thighs measurements were: Calves: 16.25 inches, Thighs: 25.5 inches, Bi's: 16.25 inches. Still have a fair amount of fat, but I'm hopefully going to get that down more over the next few months.

I'm still around 192-195lbs.

Alright, going to post my leg day, and then some observations I've made, new diet changes.

Friday: Quads

Leg Extensions:

60lbs X 20
80lbs X 20
110lbs X 18
110lbs X 20

Smith Machine Squats:

135lbs X 20
225lbs X 20
315lbs X 12
315lbs X 8

Leg Press: Weight is per side.

3plate X 50
4plate X 43
5plate X 38
5plate X 35

DB Lunges:

15lbs X 40 steps
15lbs X 38 steps
15lbs X 33 steps
15lbs X 35 steps

Butt Blaster:

50lbs X 33
50lbs X 35
50lbs X 12
50lbs X 22

20 minutes cardio.

Now some of the changes I've made to my diet. I started adding in vegetables to my diet, and things seemed to improve, I just felt like my body was working better/more efficient. Because of the feeling I bought a bag of Raw powdered vegetables from RXwhey, and I have to say the stuff tastes very interesting, and I feel like the extra nutrients are really helping things.

Also I bought some whey from them with aminogen, and I will say that the protein is amazing, and I love it.

The things I've noticed from the changes in diet is that I look fuller, especially when I am working out, whatever muscle group I am working swells I'd say 25%-30% more than previously, enough that my partner noticed and was just like "whatever you changed keep it up. Strength is really good, and I wish I felt 100% because I would be through the roof strength wise if I didn't feel half sick over the last month or so.

I've also started stretching 3-4 times a day, before workouts, and during workouts, I feel like this is helping tremendously due to the fact that is stretches the tendons, and muscles so there is a longer rom on most movements. I believe that making the muscle fascia looser helps the body be able to increase the volume of muscle and amount of muscle easier since there isn't resistance from the fascia.

Another thing I've noticed I think my body is more sensitive to insulin, I only take in simple sugars after cardio. The situation that makes me feel this way is that I usually have my shake in the morning, it's about 70g protein, 54g from protein powder, and 16g from milk, 54g slow carbs from oats, and about 16g from milk, and say 16g fat from milk. The issue I was having was that when I had lunch I would feel hungry, but the only thing that would satiate me was protein, and I was craving protein. If I ate carbs and protein I would become hungry about about 30 minutes later. My conclusion is that my body is becoming more insulin sensitive, and since that is occurring I don't need as many carbs to push the same amount of protein. Since I was eating the same amount of carbs, and protein, I was getting hungry because I needed either less carbs, or more protein. I also noticed that when I felt like I needed just protein, that after I ate protein my muscles would swell, and be full.

Any thoughts are welcome, I don't want to be off base in what I'm thinking is going on so if you guys have had similar experiences let me know.

Well still growing, and not really gaining much weight, but the body is starting to get more full, and rounded. I think I might schedule a visit with a dermatologist, since my back is all effed up for just about no reason, and I heard there are anti-biotics that might be able to help with the issues I'm having.

In other news I'm still feeling strong, might take a week off pretty soon. I want to update more, but I'm busy as hell, between working, working out, and training I'm at it around 80hrs per week. So hopefully I'll be able to get more put down here. Anyway be safe guys, and seriously if anyone has some input on my last post I'd like to hear it.

You are becoming more carb sensitive because of your reduction in simple carbs. Adding more carbs than you need to a protein meal will necessarily increase your blood sugar and get the pancreas churning out insulin to reduce said blood sugar. The resulting blood sugar swing will leave you hungry in a short amount of time. Addind a fat source for energy along with your protein instead of a carb source will keep your blood sugar rock steady and will slow digestion, allowing up to double the time before hunger returns. So instead of chicken and rice, do chicken and avacado.

Had my back looked at, I have a moderate, to severe case of eczema, I was prescribed a special soap, and topical cream, and lotion like 1-3 times a day as needed.

I haven't been working out this week because I had a serious pop in my knee last week during leg day, and I was starting to get run down and so we decided to take a week off. I have been getting a lot of products from rxwhey and I love all their products and they are all of very high quality in my estimation.

So pretty irritated, been doing this high volume stuff for about 3-4 months, no change took measurements, and pictures, pretty much did nothing. So I guess that was a learning experience my body does not respond to high volume heavy weight work. So I'm going back to HIT training since I was growing like an effing weed when I was doing that. My weight is down to 188 because I'm leaning out, and am trying to get pretty low BF wise just as practice for next years competition season.

I don't really have anything else to say other than my general irritation at the waste of time, and effort over the last few months.

Figured I would update here, currently 180lbs, BF calipers using 4-site said I was 10.15% BF, 16 inch neck, 31 inch waist. Not much going on other than trying to increase my size, and keep my BF levels in check. Back is growing, well everything is growing, not trying to worry so much about rep ranges, but about how much stuff hurts. Going back to a more traditional approach after reading Robby Robinson's book in which he talked a lot about more old school ways of doing things.

Robby... haven't heard much from him lately. That guy was/is a genetic miracle. I saw a youtube vid of him guest posing in his (i think) late 50s and he still looked amazing. Fantastic frame and muscle symmetry. Should have won a Mr O in there somewhere.

Interesting you are reading his book about old school stuff, but old school was a lot of volume work which you just got done putting behind you in lieu of HIT.

Some of the exercises he uses also in the book he was talking 10-12 rep ranges. Also just a lot of the way he described listening to your body and having a positive mental state and mind muscle connection.

Currently bulking again, started around 176lbs, Measurements, and calipers were saying ~8-10% BF, currently ~9.5% 182lbs. Diet is just through the roof, 100-200g fat, 400-800g carbs, 250-350g protein. Playing around a lot with carb timing. Little things I've noticed like if I eat mashed potato carbs I lose a little bit of lines about 3 hrs later. If I eat a ton of carbs one day, and then don't eat any carbs the next morning my body will start dumping water.

Other than that there's not much happening. I've concentrated on making sure to pull all the way through the movement, so my muscle stays contracted completely through the whole rom, as opposed to at the beginning, and end. I am going to need straps as my forearms were so trashed toward the end of back day that I couldn't close my hand all the way, and couldn't complete barbell shrug sets because I would be dropping the bar after about 12 reps.

I'll try to post some soon. Lats are looking retarded IMO from the front. Waist is sitting around 30", Delts are starting to separate, and are pretty damn round, rear delt has long since separated from my traps, and traps are very well defined from the rest of my back. When I was 176lbs you could see the full outline of abs around the obliques and the top 4 abs were showing well, but I can't flex them very good. I can see all four muscles composing the quads, and interior thigh muscles. My calves are starting to separate in the center. Those are the things I'm noticing now, also spider web veins on my left forearm pretty constantly, on my right arm I can see the vein going into my elbow from the inside of my arm pretty well. I'm a little wet from test right now though, so I don't look quite as low as I am.

And for an update.

I went to the Doctor today, apparently I have a pretty severe skin infection, compounded by hyper excreting oil glands, so I have acne that becomes infected. Doctor wasn't quite sure why I had an infection due to my level of health, he assumes I have some kind of skin issue that makes me more susceptible to the bacterias at gyms.

After 40 minutes of excruciating pain as he lanced everything and squeezed them, they shot me with 4ml of 4-5 different antibiotics, then gave me 600mg per day of Clindamycin, and 240mg per day of Bactrim DS, and I have to come back in 10 days possibly before depending on how severe the cultures are.

Once every thing gets cleared up I'll post pictures, there has been great success and progress, but I can't stand my back, shoulders, and chest skin right now, and I don't really want to post pictures of it.

I'll update again once I go for the follow up.

Eating a metric shit ton, still losing bodyfat. I have delt striations without a pump I know I said that but they have deepened, not a huge amount but enough that I noticed. Weight is hovering around 182-185lbs, skin fold caliper says 8-9% bf, I don't feel like I look it, but who knows.

If scarring persists, give low dose (10 mg a day) accutane a shot. I did two cycles of accutane, one at 60 mg and one at 10. Results were the same except on 60 I looked like a peeling leper and had cracked and bloody mucous membranes... On 10 mg I had no sides except mild lip chap.

good work Eden, keep on top of that infection. I had a simple sinus infection that ended up getting into the inner part of my face, was swollen up all across the eyes and had to have antibiotics 7 days IV to get rid of it. Apparently there are only 2 antibiotics left that bacteria have not developed a resistance to and the pharm companies aren't researching to make new ones.

Eden

The doctor also said because we have over used antibiotics that the bacteria have become so strong our immune systems can't completely kill them. Which is why mine won't go away. So by using antibiotics we have become dependent on them.

So got back from my check up. My cultures came back normal, but the DR. was like no way, looked at my back and said "well there's your problem you have abscesses, judging by how hard this is to kill, and how many abscesses I can see you've had, it's probably MRSA"

So now I have

Rifampin 300mg twice a day for 7 days
Bactrim DS Twice a day for 21 days

Rifampin is typically used to treat active Tuberculosis, so Hopefully it will knock shit out, I was warned that my bodily fluids (sweat, tears, urine, and saliva) may all turn reddish orange, and that it's a sign the meds are working.

One of my friends was surprised they haven't just given me IV antibiotics, but who knows what's up with that. Anyway Imma go over my diet, and stuff.

My diet has been pretty fun, most mornings I have 7 eggs, 1 cup Kefer, 1 cup Orange juice, blueberries, pineapple, and some Organic waffles with syrup and butter.

Lunches are 10oz homemade garlic mashed potatoes, 8oz ground beef, 2-3oz mexican cheese, and some spagetti sauce.

First home meal is usually a can of tuna with home made mayo, and 2 cups jasmine rice, and 1 cup full fat organic greek yogurt

Next meal Steak with 2-3 oatmeal and creme packets, with 2oz 100% Cranberry juice not from concentrate, and 2oz Apple cider vinegar with the mother.

Last meal 7 more eggs, with some orange juice if I feel like I need sugar.

Most of my meals change, but they're all pretty healthy, and I keep to listening to my body to determine what I need to eat, I will have ice cream if I feel like it or get hungry between meals. I cook most things in organic coconut oil for the MCT's, I do also eat a lime, and sometimes a kiwi during the day because they're delicious. I have been keeping my protein a little lower (200g-275g) per day, and the carbs higher (400g-500g) per day to see how that goes. I try to eat foods that taste good and that I like, I feel like if I don't like the food that will hinder my bodies ability to use it. Kinda like my body will tell me what it wants by what it feels like eating. So if I usually eat Steak, with Pasta, and yogurt, but I feel like eating Tilapia, and rice, I'm going to eat Tilapia and rice. When I was bulking I was slowly losing bodyfat and gaining mass, so that was really good, I think most the definition was from deeper striation and muscle growing from within the skin.

I can't really think of anything else to add, but if you're curious about anything feel free to ask.

Hope you all are well.

"Probably" MRSA? Tell his ass to test for it and figure it out! WTF? I had a bout of MRSA on my left arm a few years back. It was easy to get rid of with antibiotics surprisingly. The worst part was him cutting it and squeezing out as much shit as he could. I wanted to commit violence. Hope this clears for you soon brother!

Eden
07-09-2013, 08:38 AM
They tested the cultures from the abscesses. Having them squeezed was hellish but they came back normal. But due to the fact it is abscessing and that the antibiotics didn't clear it up they're going on it's MRSA.

That's what I plan to do is get it all dead, I have another 10 days of Bactrim DS, then if it's not gone I'm going to go back and get more, problem is that I have Abscesses from the MRSA and so if the skin heals but even one abscess is still there it will come back, and the abscesses can take almost a month to open so once they're all gone I'm gonna get Accutane and run it at 10mg a day to help the skin heal up and all that. Already take a ton of Fish oil, and DHA, along with exfoliating etc.

Yea the acne ended up compromising my skin, and then I got MRSA, it's super sweet haha.

Suprailliac fold says 8mm sometimes 7 which according to my chart is 8.4%-10.6%. Last time I did a 7-point caliper is was like 9.3% BF. But there's a lot of water in my skin right now, so I don't know for sure, but it's definitely under 11%. My scale freaks out and says I'm like 35% because it's really low, and scales get all wonky when it's lower than about 15%

When I eat a lot of carbs it makes me wet, if I cut them out for a few days the skin lays back down, but can't really bulk on no carbs. I need to get my guy to tell me what exactly he wants me doing with carb cycling so he's been busy with other stuff.

I'm sure accutane would get you healed faster... For the simple reason that since whatever infection you have is feeding off sebaceous gland secretions which are halted by use of accutane. Sounds like a struggle though. Good luck.

Also accutane = more skin cell death, the infection won't be able to flourish on dried, dead skin at the surface.

Looks like typical cystic acne to me, probably a reaction to your cycle. If that many antibiotics aren't doing anything, I'd seriously jump on tane ASAP...

I remember you had more normal looking bacne on your cycle but none before.
I honestly gotta think it was the androgenic effect.

Eden

I can get research grade Accutane. My Doctor knows of my usage, and encourages it, if it's what I want to do to get to my goals. Also, what he thinks is I got acne from the gear, because my skin was compromised I got MRSA IN the acne, which then allowed the MRSA to get into my soft tissue which makes it hard to get rid of.

He now believes that we have killed the MRSA, and now I just have severe Acne Vulgaris, so the Doxycycline is for the acne that is now left over, the derm visit is to double check and possibly get me Accutane because I DO have hyperactive oil glands that are very sensitive to DHT binding to them and making them get over active.

I do wash myself with ketoconozole which is a topical DHT blocker to hopefully keep my oil glands from freaking out so much

I was taking 600mg T-400, and 600mg EQ, however I DO NOT think my symptoms are normal, the doctor even said that I probably have extra sensitive skin and that I'm just more prone to staph infections. So Oryan I don't think this is normal for my dosages I just have weird skin, my brother takes similar stuff to me and has NO problems whatsoever.

it's gotten much better, but I don't have a ton of money, and just the doxy and visit cost me over $100 with insurance. But I figure if I get the Accutane from the Derm it's a better option than research Accutane, but if after I see them they won't I'll get some. I do want to get rid of it, and I appreciate the insight.

it's gotten much better, but I don't have a ton of money, and just the doxy and visit cost me over $100 with insurance. But I figure if I get the Accutane from the Derm it's a better option than research Accutane, but if after I see them they won't I'll get some. I do want to get rid of it, and I appreciate the insight.

beg them and they will do it. also 40 mg eod will def be cheaper than 20 ed. insurance often covers for cystic-esque situations.

Apparently my insurance covers less than 10% of prescription drugs, the Doxy cost me $75 of $83.

Prices, Coupons and Information - GoodRx (http://www.goodrx.com/)

this coupon code program works at a lot of pharmacies.... looks like accutane is mighty expensive these days though.

also doxycycline is super expensive compared to what it used to be due to a supply issue.

So I could have had dozy for $22 with a free coupon from that site. Thanks for the help weekend.

it sometimes takes convincing and multiple pharmacy trips to find a place that will take the coupon though. they are weird about it.

Alright guys. New routine, new diet, new coach, new fun. I'll try to update tomorrow with the details. Goal is to lose a few % fat and add lbm like an s.o.b. till February.

I'm in for the run Eden!

Ok so reporting in I've got a new coach as the guy who was helping me is really busy and hasn't been giving me the attention I think I need to succeed. New things that have changed:

Low fat diet 50g-60g per day. Carbs until I'm full and 270-300g protein per day.

Only changes I've noticed so far are my muscles seem to be more able to move it's hard to explain they respond better to mental stimuli. The skin feels flatter and the lines between muscles feels more exact. Not a whole lot has changed but I think the goal is around 7%-8% bf while bulking how we will pull that off is in his court because I have no clue.

Training is going to be more precise with more warm ups, heavier weight, and more awesome. We are also doing a light tricep, light bicep, and arms, spread out over three days because we both want to bring my arms up. He did comment that I was particularly symmetrical and "had a good frame" so yay for compliments. Regardless I'm here to work.

Nit a lot else to report as of now I'm right around 190lbs in the morning just out of bed. Hopefully we will be packing on some serious lbm and leaning me out some. Hopefully I will be working with him till at least April so this should be an interesting 9 months.

Looks nice. Interested in seeing how the light arm workouts, but more frequent will work for you! Looking forward to the details!

Eden

Yea it's a light day for both. Then a full on day. So like light triceps after chest, light biceps after back. Then two days later a heavy arm day.

Sounds logically like a solid plan. I gotta try and incorporate something similar... Only thing is I do chest right after my arms day. Could try it with back and then light biceps though, seems sick. You do light weights? or just a few short fast sets?

Eden
08-02-2013, 07:26 PM
I just do light weight. It's like one less set on the light days. Along with lighter weight. The full day is more sets more reps and biceps and triceps same day.

Ok I'm probably just going to post my observation emails to my coach as I think they will provide interesting insight into the day to day happenings of this log.

Ok so some observations I've made.

While in the gym my vascularity is through the roof. Can see all the veins all the way up my arms then fading out around the shoulder. I assume this is due to less sub q water?

I eat an absolute boat load of carbs. You said to eat till I'm full with carbs which is nearly 100g per meal. I'd say 75g-100g is averaging. Is this too much. Without the fat I get very hungry for food. I'm trying to use a variety of protein sources throughout the day, whey protein, lean steak, tuna, I'm going to get some chicken next time I'm at the grocery store.

Body I don't know how to describe it. Skin lays different. Thinner and more taunt against the muscle. Hopefully this will migrate to my abdomen soon. As I hold a descent bit of water/fat there compared to my arms and legs.

Muscle groups are noticeably more full for a few days after working them. Only done a few of the new workouts so I will update more about that when I've done more. Also the rep range and weight range seems spot on and in a few weeks should be doing some heavy poundages. I used to be able to incline barbell bench 185lbs for 8-10, and 225lbs for 5-7 hopefully will get back there. Calves are rounder and full from last workout.

The interesting thing is how much longer the muscles stay full before emptying out. Seems they will stay at 70% or so pumped by the time they are to be worked again.

Eden

Alright. Now I remember why I don't eat low fat haha. I have been up for 4 hours and have consumed.

2cups orange juice
57g protein of whey
1cup of oats

2cans (10oz tuna)
2 packets of blueberry and oatmeal packets

3cups jasmine rice
Half a can of corn
10oz lean steak.

So what around 260g carbs. Burning up like a furnace chest is sweaty still hungry.

So this has nothing to do with my bodybuilding. But been a bad day. My wife doesn't have a job and is having a terrible job finding one we have saved up 50-60 grand to get a house but on my income we couldn't afford a loan at all. Also we were wanting to have a kid and that's already hard due to her epilepsy, but that doesn't matter since we can't afford one anyway. So it's been a bad day. Imma down some vodka. Not trying to bitch life's just a whore sometimes. Hope you guys understand.

fuck Eden, lots of negatives takin up all the space in your head. Know that it happens to all of us at different times, just how life goes. I've found that the best thing to do in these situations is to actually write out on paper all the things i'm thankful for, all the progress I've made not only on my body, but in my personality (yeah I used to be worse), my finances (you have more cash than me and likely most of us saved up), my relationships with others, etc.... Once I see that, actually see the list once it exists it helps me to refocus and make plans to achieve the next round of goals I set. If I could take some of your frustration I would bud, but it's all there for you to handle. Just know that we are behind you.

It's hard to remain positive all the time, I know the feeling. I'm always a very positive and happy person, but from time to time, that's not always the case. I think OD put it very good. I've done what he's said on multiple occasions, and it's definitely helped rearrange my attitude. We're all very blessed with a variety of things... Sometimes we just need to be reminded of the great things we do have.

Eden
08-08-2013, 08:35 AM
Yea I thought on what od said on the way to work and really the biggest thing was having my wife and having a sound marriage. That really helps keep me happy.

Anyway back to business. I got some Nordi so I'm going to start taking 4iu EOD. So we'll see how that goes.

Eden

Yay for a good nights sleep.

Eden
08-10-2013, 10:49 AM
Observations:

Veins pop easily, and are more firm than usual. I walk around looking like I'm pumped. Also if I'm noticing veins it must be pretty pronounced. I'm partially color blind so I can't see the color of the veins just the mound they make.

Muscles are pretty full. Hungry often and finding I need to sleep more I assume from growing. I feel like a kid going through a growth spurt all I want to do is sex, eat, and sleep.

Workouts are very good feeling strong in the gym and have been noticing more depth between my muscle groups and that the muscles become more pumped at time goes on. Muscles fill out probably 25%-30% more than they did a few weeks ago.

Yep works exactly as it should. Very low negative sides, but positive changes in sub q water, vascularity is changing more pronounced and more firm, muscles fill more when working out. The stuff works quick. It's all subtle changes but it's there. Compared to the usual rate of change these changes are rapid. There's a reason the pharmacy charges $1,400 per 45iu

25. As I understand it goes down quite a bit in mid twenties and at around 30 is about half what it was during puberty, and by the time you're nearing 40 your hgh production is less than enough to overcome the oxidative stress to your body. So understand the idea is at around mid twenties it can provide significant benefit.

I'll put it this way. The effects I've noticed in my vascularity and muscle shape would normally take around two weeks. 4 days with 3 doses. So the effects of two or so weeks in 4 days.

Another example after the second dose I've started to believe that there isn't a chemical in there it's god or magic. Someone I know has a circulation problem which causes blood vessels to burst and he's lost most feeling in his foot. Its very similar to diabetics when they have bad circulation to their extremities this person took 3 doses, now says nerves and skin that hasn't had sensation in ten years now itches and he has new skin appearing where it was once black and callous. Also the skin gets better by the hour. I'm not shitting you in the morning it was black 4 hrs later it was kinda reddish and you could see the blood flow in it if you poked it.

From a medical point of view this stuff is amazing in it's ability to heal the body within hours. And change the body in hours. Also is isn't bias as other people at work were astonished by the rapidity of the changes. I could keep raving. But honestly this stuff is worth it's price. It makes things happen.

I need to tan. But I was advised not to because of my medicine. We have free unlimited tanning at my gym. I think if I were darker the 3D effect would be much more pronounced. However I'm just glad I got a little more olive skin than completely white European.

I'm a quarter Italian so than goodness for that. Now that I'm healthier my skin is naturally darker and not so pasty. It's amazing how much your health can affect everything.

Growing. Happened last time I was growing a ton. Eat a bunch of food. Body dumps a bunch of insulin to help shuttle everything into my muscles, blood sugar crashes. No nutrients in blood I get super sleepy. I'm sure the hgh isn't help either.

Speaking of hgh. My fingernails grow like weeds holy hell. Like 1/8 inch in a week grow. I have claws over here.

Honestly I don't know. It doesn't seem to be completely a sugar crash. Of feels like my body just doesn't have the energy to stay awake while.it's doing so Much repairing. I don't want to eat too much sugar either. My coach said to sip on pre-workout after meals, or get some sugar free energy drinks which apparently help him a good bit.
