Does anybody know how long student loans can be deffered? Im stuck paying a mortage and all the bills for my house since my dad has passed on top of my personal bills. Just curious if anyone has deffered their loans or knows how long they can be deffered? My house is just put on the market and dont know how long will take to sell and get the cash in hand.. Or if i was to go on for my masters how long i have to enroll so that my loans just go together? I graduted in December, not sure if that matters. Thanks!

I think it's up to 3 years if they're federal on deferment.

I believe that's correct. I think you need to be unemployed as well. If you keep going to school full time I think you can continue to defer them

You can still defer them if you're underemployed. If you're enrolled only half-time, you can still defer them.
