Would Achilles be of any use in this case?

Sooooo I rolled the shit out of my ankle, was doing an O-course and mis-stepped, face planted in the snow, couldn't stand to put weight on my left foot. Foot rolled inward, so all the pain an inflammation is on the outside portion of my ankle.
Went to the doc, they took some bone pictures and said nothing is broken, but it is severely sprained, crutches for 3 or 4 days, and physical activity for 5-6 weeks (like no running, no legs etc).
Currently eating 800 mg of advil 3 times a day and employing RICE protocol. Anything else you guys could recommend that may help speed recovery?
I thought about using Achilles, hoping maybe it would help with the inflammation. I hate not being able to walk around without these damn crutches, and I need to pass a military fitness test in around 9 weeks that involves a little running, which I can't do at all right now. Any help would be great guys, thanks!

Topical anti-inflammatory would really be all that can help out of your legal options. Cissus and higher-dosed fish oil is also an option.

yeah, thats kind of what I figured. Ordered some cissus and Ill up my fish oil dose

outside of peptides and the like, what would be other, less "conventional" options

i assume no MRI to look at the state of your ligaments and such?

Yeah, ankle was incredibly swollen so they just xrayed it. No fractures. If it's still AFU in two weeks they said I may want to see a specialist and get an MRI.
After the doc touched everything she said she doesn't believe I tore everything because I could still exert pressure up and down with my ankle. But there's no way to tell for sure until all that swelling goes down

Or an mri. Imo American doctors roll the dice a lot because of the ridiculous costs/joke of a healthcare system. I would think you need an mri pronto, but I'm no doc

Sorry you're hurt brother
