Hi all,

Please see below details on my Protocol and blood test results, any advice greatly appreciated (besides Iodine query shown).

1. Summary: Age 24; Approx. 7m on/7m off fin; most PFS common sides (plus sinus/ETD)

2. Daily diet & supplements:
(i) Paleo/mostly organic meat, eggs and veg., includes saturated fats e.g. gluten free sausages, bacon, coconut (meat, milk, oil) for T/lower GI (fruits etc)/probiotics (homemade sauerkraut and store bought kombucha)/8 oz organic bone broth 2x daily (ginger added)/raw garlic (4-5 cloves)/no gluten & dairy. Did 3 day bone-broth fast to reduce inflammation. For calcium - 1 tin of salmon with bones (~500mg Ca.) as well as green veg. so ~ 600-700mg Ca.
(ii) 6-10g L-Glutamine; 200mg Mg glycinate; 10mg Zn (included in Vitamin C tablet); 2000mg Omega3; 2000iu vit D3; 1000mg vit C (sustained release); 150ug iodine (kelp)*; 800mg Ashwagandha. Looking to add Royal Jelly & others/CD list.
* Considering stopping kelp because not Iodine deficient (see results below). Agree?

3. Rest & Exercise
(i) 10-12h sleep/night, sometimes restless. Wim Hof breathing every morning followed by a cold shower. Deep meditation before bed.
(ii) Planned low-start weights/aerobic when energy consistently higher.

4. Latest bloods/UK units (Normal range ( ); o/range in italics) Date/time
• Total Testosterone(T)= 17.3 nmol/L (8.4– 28.7) 2/12/16 (2pm)

Sorry I worded the post poorly.
Basically just looking for any comments on my protocol, maybe something I should add/change. If not then I'll just stick to it.
Bloods are there incase any of you has opinions on them but I don't expect that.
Thanks

I just started my water fast today.
I'm 5"10 (178cm) and 9.5 stone (133 pounds), do you still recommend the full 14 days?

Thank you

Are you in a clinic that does water fasting? If not, then I cannot in good conscience advise you to undertake this at home. It's a completely natural process, but going for extended periods of time can be dangerous to the untrained.

Not only that, but being somewhere where everyone else is fasting as well creates a sense of commradery and it goes a long way in making it a LITTLE bit easier then doing it at home.....alone.

You do realize how difficult it's going to be....right?

I am not in a water fast clinic, I am at home, but not alone. So on that basis what do you recommend in terms of fasting? I thought the general advice was always 14 day (or more if possible) water/juice fast. I know it will be hard however.

Thanks for the quick reply much appreciated.

Juice feast if you can't afford the time or expense of going to a clinic. The results will be similiar, although water fasting still remains the gold standard for guys that are bad off. But that being said, if you can manage a 21 day juice feast you'll get somewhere. 14 days is the minimum I suggest. The juice feasting program is actually a 90 day program....I've gone 45 only to stop after that as 2 hours daily of making juice started to get old. I felt amazing afterwords though.

The point is, you can juice feast much longer at home, without having to up end your life.

Since water is the gold standard, is there any number of days that can help me to achieve full recovery?
If not I'll buy a juicer as you recommend.

Let me rephrase....Water fasting is the gold standard if you can do it correctly, ie, in a water fasting center run by medical professionals. It's for your own good. Juice feasting is almost as powerful but ten times safer.

Don't buy a juicer....read this: Cleaning Up The Mess You Made Total Male Optimization (http://www.totalmaleoptimization.com/the-journey/)

Ok great, I'll start the juice feast when I get the necessary supplies.
Lots of great information in your link, I'll use the nutmilk method, in terms of blenders my current one was fairly cheap and is 350W power (it seems to blend leafy greens if given enough water, usually a lot more than 4oz however) do you think that's enough or I was looking into a Nutri ninja 900W?

Finally, should I continue with supplements/herbs during the feast?

Thanks a lot for the help

No herbs or anything other then juice for the feast. I would go with the ninja over a regular blender.

Thanks. Will do.
I'm just ordering some herbs right now for after my fast, and 'Lost Empire' are out of stock on a few things I found 'Nutraplanet' instead, do you have any views of them?

Are individual herbs better than mixed (proprietary) blends?

Capsules or powders, does it matter?

Much appreciated.

I'm currently 13 days into my juice fast, yesterday I noticed thrush on my penis and tongue. Usually my tongue is a little white but never this much.
I guess this is candida related, is this normal during the feast?
Cheers

Yes but not all those listed (the list is for all at the date of original post). If a specific supplement is of interest, can advise whether or not taken when bloods done

Thrush....on your dick?

Yes, it has cleared up however. I broke the fast after 17 days, should be enough.
Going to go on a low carb diet to deal with the candida for good. I was diagnosed with having H Pylori which is a parasite or bug type thing in your gut, so a healthy low carb diet should do it.
