Iron Kitchen: Stuffed Pepper Boats

Ingredients:

12 Oz pork sausage
3 Pasilla peppers
1 Onion (chopped)
1 1/2 Cups Italian cheese blend
2 Tbsp Italian seasoning (oregano, basil and thyme)
1/2 Tsp salt
1 Tomato (diced)


Recipe Instructions:

Cook sausage in a skillet until golden brown.
Mix the cooked sausage, cheese, herbs, tomatoes and onions together in a small mixing bowl.
Cut 1/4 of the pasilla pepper off horizontally.
Spoon the mixture into the pasilla peppers.
Place onto an oven safe skillet and cook in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
