I am looking to create the ultimate protein bar to become the cornerstone of my diet. Oats, crasins, walnuts and a splash of anamass is my go to meal so moving those ingrideients from the bowl into bar for should not be all that difficult.

Today was my first endeavor.
1 cup oats 1/2 cup walnuts with a few stray almonds sauted with coconut oil.
Brought the pan off the heat and mixed in 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup crasins, 1/2 cup walnuts, 1 cup soy flour, 1/4 cup peanut butter, a big splat of honey, a sprinkle of cinnamon and 6 scoops Blueberry anamass. I thought I added just enough water to aid in mixing but then it got a little soupy.

Laid contents evenly in pyrex pan, baked at 200 for 25 mins then convection at 325 for 15 mins.

Bars came out like I knew what I was doing, Consistency is a little soft but taste is on point.

Next time I am going to blend the other ingredients with the toasted oats and walnuts later in the process, I am going to fiddel with a few of the measurements and bake longer. Also less water.

I just wanted to share, any insight from one of you culinary dynamos would be appreciated.

After a night in the fridge they locked up nicely and were able to be snacked on in bar form. I brought the tray to work and people seemed to like it because there was hardly any left by the end of the day.

I may make another batch tonight if the kids go to sleep at a reasonable hour.

the 2nd batch was pretty fucking good. Granola bar crunch.

2 cups oats, 1.5 cups nut, 1 cup crasins, a heaping spoon full of coconut oil..... fry to desired taste.

mix honey, peanut butter, anamass, cinnamon and a tiny amount of water over low heat. remove frow heat, add the fried oats and flour, mix quick and spread in pan. Top with honey and cinamon.

325 for 15 mins and it came out crunchy and oats kept shape and texture.

The next step is getting exact measurement and working out the macros. I am aslo going to try making peanut/cashew butter.

Did a 3rd batch the other day that was a big hit at work pretty much like batch # 2 but bigger.

I also made my own nut blend butter from walnuts, cashews and coconut oil but have not used it in bars yet. I added a scoop of chocolate anamass and it came out awesome. I may abandon the bars for a little while work on a chilled pudding type concoction out of the same ingredients and the chocolate butter.

Yes.
I only eat them in large 40-80g after deads and squats. On most days i get my carbs from veggies and fruit.
Bad carbs, sweets, and fast digesting carbs make me feel like shit, tired, and bloated all at the same time. Lol

I've been making a transition to get more of my carbs from fruits and veggies and I feel so much better. I do have carbs the night before I do jits for energy. Bad carbs i'm the same way, I feel like shit after...

Fruits and Veggies FTMFW!!!!
Fruits are my candy and desserts. Coming from being my size to what I am now I have a totally different outlook on food and what I want to put in my body for fuel. I'm not on any sort of diet other than the "Eat whatever Ryan wants to diet!!" Nothing is off limits but I usually only eat healthy foods and in large portions.

wow, this worked out very, very well. I left the concoction in the fridge over night and it tasted even better in the morning.

I am going to measure out the next batch, break it into servings and do the macros.

Told you!! Lol
The key to a good pudding is using a full egg or an egg white.
Once an egg is mixed into the protien it makes it a whole different beast!! Lol
I only add the egg when I don't use nut butters. Greek yogurt also works better than adding milk or water.
Lots if little trucks to make it better but I have to remember them and that's the hard part.
Post more of your ideas and it'll either spark up new ones for bring back old ideas for me.
