1.5 c lentils
.5 c quinoa
.5 c oats
.5 c millet
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion

7 c water

boil till thick & mushy, season to taste, lightly blend till lumpy, bake at 375 in loaf pan. Glaze with whatever... I used honey mustard and salsa.

pan comes out to around 1200 cal, 12g carb, 30 g fat (1/2 of that is from the olive oil), 60 g protein. I round my #s and didn't calculate seasoning.

I had a beautiful recipe written out but I erased it by accident.

This might be a nice meal to carb up on.
What type of seasonings do you use that taste good with this.

uummm.. I redid my math and came up with 1400 cal, 30 g fat 270 carb 77 protein. Some of my #s were off, I hope this one is closer. I'm still getting the hang of this counting stuff, calorically speaking.

I give is a splash or worchestershire sauce and a dash of adobo. Anything will work. Fenel,a little garlic and lemon would be nice. Salsa in the mix and glaze and topped with cold guac woul be sweet too.

I'll pick up what is need to make it this weekend and I'll see what I come up as far as Macros.

Could you post a pic of what it looks like what you slice it up and what's the texture like??
Knowing and seeing things like that helps me decided on how it should be seasoned.
Just looking at it I'm thinking and herb and garlic seasoning would be killer.

That sounds closer to what it should be.

I have another batch in the oven now. I threw in some textured vegetable protein after I blended to dry it out, add some texture and jack up the protein a little. I'll see how this one goes.

If posted on another forum a simple mathmatical error would have easily slipped through unchallenged but not here. I would have been recording the meal way off for however long and it would have thrown my numbers way off. Thanks for looking out.

I assumed it was a typo just from the fact that the macros and caloric value given didn't match and that, like said, 1/2C of oats has ~25-27g carbs. Are lentils and millet complete proteins? I know that quinoa is and oats are not.

Looks good and I'm thinking adding some meat would make it even better.

No, I was under the impression they complemented each other but I could be wrong on this one too.

this is the latest loaf. I made a bigger batch.

The only to really know is to compare the AAs present within each and see if they combine to contain a solid amount of the 9 EAAs.

I wouldn't call it a complete meal by any means. Far too unbalanced in terms of macros.

Didn't mean a meal more of a side. Make that 1400 cals last 5-7 days, and not just pound it in one sitting.

I think quinoa is a complete protein. Could be wrong, but everything I look up says that it is.

Oh wow, I just re-read your post. I read it as "I know that quinoa and oats are not." Funny how dropping the "is" changes everything.

Going to bed now...

I am really digging on this loaf.

Today was
1 cup lentils
1 cup oats
1 cup millet
1 cup quinoa
3 tbsp olive oil
3 med onions

8 cups water

honey mustard glaze, greased pan with a little coconut oil.

simmer for 1/2 hour, add onions at 15 mins, blend with hand blender at 20 mins. bake at 375 for 1 hour.

This mix was too much for my load pan so macros are going to be an est. For my next batch I am going to pick up a few jumbo muffin pans and make single servings and just divide by how many muffing the mix makes to get the macros.
