Freaky..

On another site, it'd only be a matter of time before seeing posts trying to diminish this accomplishment.

They were bashing him like crazy over on PM.... Freakin idiots! Saying crap like it's all cuz of the drugs, the shirt added 250-300 pounds to his bench, he probably couldn't do 250 shirtless, etc... Any of our power lifter guys or strength athletes here will know right off the bat that all that stuff is bs.

It's a single ply closed back shirt. Those add some support, but not that much.

BTW, his total broke Mark Henry's Texas state record.

I knew there was no way anyone could credit the shirt with that much of an increase. He probably does 525+ raw. What's your guess, Rodja?

It's hard to say, but I wouldn't venture too far away from 600. The closed back limits the amount you get out of the shirt because he's not able to jack it down too much. The dude is built to PL, though. Good thoracic mobility, shortish arms, low center of gravity.

Wow, that's even more impressive!!! ...Especially for that age. Thanks!

One thing to remember is that the judges for TX are USAPL judges and they're assholes on depth, pausing, etc. so you know the squat was deep and with a walkout.

His name is Andrew Billings and he posted a 2010 total. I would kill for that total.
