@outlaw sounds like paradoxical folate deficiency, it isn’t “dangerous” brother, it just throws you off. You’re fine. Did you have issues with the green juice before this or no?
Damn I would've never taken it had I known, I thought only methyl was dangerous. Yea idk man. Did you have ups n down in methyl trap or it was constant shit? Cause I got better for like 2 weeks, and then dipped. But on the other hand, I do have symptoms and the green juice crashes me
@outlaw I’m definitely no expert, but I believe so. But honestly man, you probably just crashed. It’s no sweat. You’re going to come out of it soon enough. And believe me, I was mortified to put another B in my body. But it really is no big deal once you do; your mind is making a mountain out of a molehill. I know from experience
Sorry for my ignorance, but so it's possible to land in a methyl trap without methyl (just folate)? I read your post but I'm terrified to put any other type of B vitamin in my body :/
@outlaw yeah folic acid can cause paradoxically folate deficiency or methyl trap. Easy to fix honesly. Itd be helpful to take a 23 and me test to see if you have a MTHFR gene mutation and would have been deficient in folate to begin with, but it’s not necessary. Try what’s listed in the post, shouldn’t be an issue. But honestly if you didn’t take methyls I might not worry about it
My bottle of B says "Absorbable" B Complex. Is this the same as active (which you said is methyl)?
Hey is there any way the B complex I took (had folic acid and cyanocobalamin) gave me folate deficiency symptoms? I have been a shell of myself exactly since taking them, I have intermittent tingling limbs and diarhea, and when I drink green juices I get fucked up. Any way to test it? Genuinely sorry to bother
Thanks again, man. If you wouldn't mind calling when you're able that'd be great. I won't take up much of your time. If you don't have time I get it, we all got stuff going on. It'd be great to put a voice to the screen name, and just pick your brain a little. Thanks again, man.
@Jado sounds about right man, I can give you a call soon if you want, but it seems like you got it down. The issue with K+ supplements is they are small amounts and won’t have enough per pill, and you don’t want to be taking 30 of those, potassium is dangerous. Much easier to just drink some coconut water or pour some potassium salt into a cup and call it good. And stopping methylation isn’t the issue and won’t fix a trap since the folate is stuck in the cells already. But you need to take it to stop methylating so your Doesn’t keep going after you’re done
Ok. Just so I'm clear. Start for 3 days with Vits A, D, E, B Complex with C, and fish oil. Then after a few days of those vitamins start methylB12 and AB12 one tab each at the same time, one in upper lip, one in bottom lip. Supplement with "no salt" potassium or coconut water (can I also just take a k+ tab?). Do this for a few days to see if it helps. If it does, great! Then, finish off with a couple doses of niacin to stop the methylation process? Also, have Metafolin on hand just in case I am folate deficient. Does that sound about right? Man, thanks again for the help. I hope it helps. One more question, is it possible for this to put me in a methyl trap? Also, if niacin stops the methylation couldn't you just take niacin and end the whole process. Obviously, I'm asking from ignorance. Thanks again, man.
