Continuation of my training log.
Nice to see it continue.
Excellent!
I'll be updating tomorrow it's like 2:45 am here. I woke up and had to check to see if swolesource was up. That's how excited I am.
WE NEED CURRENT PICS.
I've been interested in your progress for a good year now. (I still should have won the bicep contest  )
I'll probably update with pics this weekend.
We haven't been doing much recently it's been an off week for us, but we will be back in the gym tomorrow, so I'll update with what we have going on there tomorrow.
My weight is edging into 200lbs, as of 30 seconds ago I was 198.0lbs, naked.
August 1st: 174.6lbs
November 5th: 198lbs
So I'm up 23.4lbs in 4 months.
I haven't had a large fat gain so I think everything is going well. I don't feel as full today, but that's largely because I haven't worked out in almost a week, and I didn't eat as well as I should have over the weekend.
I did want to ask how important do you guys think taking Vitamins, and Minerals on a consistent basis is? I have 3 tubs of Animal Pak, but I just can't always bring myself to swallow those like 16 pills everyday. Any input would be really appreciated. As always thanks for stopping by.
Be well.
ok, cool, because that's about how I felt. I always figured if I was eating whole food, and getting a good variety of food I would be fine. Since that's what I do I have never been too concerned, whenever I took them I felt like it was too much.
I'll look into minerals though, lol.
I'll have to stress to be careful on the minerals. Slowly add them into your diet and monitor how you feel. Everyone is different, and not every mineral will play nice.
There is a certain mineral that straight up kicks my ass when I take it - I still haven't been able to isolate it, but when I take it, I know it.
Also, congrats on the insane growth. I remember your first photo from the bicep competition, such a twig. :D

This training is starting to get at me, I wake up sore as hell, my joints ache, walking is harder due to my weight, it's not much fun, but I'm growing like crazy. I need to find something for my soreness, joints and such, think I'm going to try Achilles. Other than that things are great, still right under 200lbs. I'm trying to get over 200, but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen anytime soon I seem to be at a sticking point, however I am getting quite stronger, I usually couldn't manage 42.5lbs on crossover for more that 12 reps, but managed 50lbs for 5 reps so my strength is up.
I am getting tired of my hands, hurting all the damn time and my joints swelling stuff like that, if you guys have any suggestions it would be very appreciated, I will try to get some new pictures up. I've been kinda busy since everyone in my life seems to like to lose their minds at once.
Thanks for reading guys, be safe, and if you have any questions let me know.
i don't know how you handle all that volume, i am dead after a few heay sets. If you are feeling run down turn it down for a little while and just focus on diet and rest and come back swinging in a week or 2.
I've been using osteo sport by app.nut. for a little over two weeks now and I definitely notice a difference , especially in my shoulders. I'm gonna try Achilles in about 6 weeks.
Thanks HIXX, I have high hopes for Achilles, I'll look into osteo sport.
Alright, I knew it was going to be a beastmode day since I got a call from the guy I train with saying that he took a shower and had 20 missed calls, and 54 text messages. So he was mad and not in a terribly good mood, so here's what a Beast mode workout looks like for me.
Beast mode Sunday Legs:
15 min stretching, foam rolling
Leg Extension:
65lbs X 15
125lbs X 15
180lbs X 12
210lbs X 10
Leg Press:
555lbs X 14
735lbs X 10
825lbs X 10
Barbell Squat:
135lbs X 15 (this effing hurt, my quads were so pumped felt like my legs were going to rip apart. I was going as far down as possible for me.)
225lbs X 12 (I took your advice here Rodja and used a larger base, and lower bar position on my back)
315lbs X 8 (This was just beyond my comprehension, I hurt like a mofo)
225lbs X 20 (Yep I was pretty surprised by this, because didn't mean to do this many. 225lbs widow-maker just because I wanted my legs blown out. Also ATG)
DB lunges:
40lbs X 8 per leg
40lbs X 8 per leg
35lbs X 8 per leg
Lying leg curls:
95lbs X 13
110lbs X 13
140lbs X 8
Seated Calf press:
210lbs X 10
250lbs X 8
15 seconds later
290lbs X 8
Seated Calf Press (the one you can load plates on)
90lbs + whatever the thing weighs X 12
140lbs + whatever the thing weighs X 8
That was all of it for today and good lord it wasn't fun. I think it took us about 40 minutes to do all that once we started actually lifting I'm not including the foam rolling, and stretching. I don't have a lot to add to this really, other than being pissed makes for good workouts haha.
Thanks for stopping by.
Disgusting leg workout. Awesome!
that was a punishing looking session. you are fucking crazy.
sick workouts man.
Lol vaynez that's exactly how I feel most workouts. Like eff this sucks during the workout and Damn that was good after it.
Shoulders/Tri's
Hammer Strength Shoulder press:
1 plate each side X 15
2 plate each side X 12
3 plate each side X 8
3 plate each side X 6
DB lateral raises:
35lbs X 15
45lbs X 12
50lbs X 8
I think this was the hammer strength deadlift machine? I dunno, we did shrugs on it.
2 plates each side X 15
3 plates each side X 12
3 plates + 25's each side X 12
Single arm Cable lateral raises:
15lbs X 10 each arm
25lbs X 8 each arm
Close Grip Bench:
135lbs X 13
185lbs X 12
185lbs X 12
Straight bar Tricep pushdown:
50lbs X 15
80lbs X 12
95lbs X 10
Machine Tricep Extension:
50lbs each arm X 15
60lbs each arm X 13
70lbs each arm X 12
I'm not sure what this is called, but you basically get in the position like you're going to do a pendlay row, then you grab an easy bar behind your legs, and keeping your arms straight raise it as high as you can. Hits the long head of the tricep and makes it burn like a mofo.
40lbs X 12
40lbs X 12
40lbs X 12
Frog kicks:
28
30
Crunches
28
16
So that was the workout today I figured I would log it since I actually have time, and I don't often log my shoulder, or back days.
Anyway, I found out that King Kamali is going to get with us tomorrow, and make us a new Routine, Nutrition plan, and supplement plan for the next 3 months during the off season, and will be advising us on what to do on a weekly basis, so I'm super excited about hearing what he thinks. Anyway, from what I understand we are about to kick our training into high gear, and actually killing some stuff in the gym, and out of the gym, so I'll keep you guys posted, it should be a gnarly ride.
Be Safe.
then what in the fuck have you been doing here?, you have more volume in a day than I do in a week and you're making leaps and bounds. Any higher gear and you'll go super saiyan and have blonde hair in you pics. I know you're young and still super motivated but jeasus christ, how much more could you possibly do?
Edens new routine... go to gym, lift everything.... go to supermarket, eat everything.
I'm aware that it's pretty hairy, but really I could go harder every session. I mean I didn't start breaking a sweat today until after the first set of cable lat raises. Also, yea it seems that's what we're going to do.
Schedule:
Go to gym: Eff things up
Go to Store: Eff things up
Go to Home: Eff things up.
your intensity and attitude are awesome. You are already pretty damn big by most standards, pushing 200 lbs at your height is impressive. I'm a few pounds heavier, a few inches taller and a few % more body fat and I get comments all the time, you must get bugged constantly. You are more muscle mass on a smaller frame.
Keep it up and you are going to be freakish.
I keep posting my training stuff because I like to have somewhere to keep track of it.

That was the workout for today, the cadence made me want to die, and really showed how mental this type of thing is, because the muscle was capable of doing it, it just hurt and required a TON of concentration.
We are still working on getting the stuff to King Kamali, and to hear back from him on exactly what he wants us to do. In other news, I am now wearing XL shirts and none of my old clothes fit so my training partner gave me some of his old clothes that didn't fit. It was a bag of 15 shirts, and a pair of sweats, all of it either the high dollar Hollister, or high dollar Abercrombie. I'm not terribly sure what to think about this, the clothes are comfy as hell, and I'm not sure I've ever had a wardrobe of clothes so expensive. Anyway, I was super stoked to get a ton of nice as hell clothes that fit me.
Keep up the exercise log, looks like some good progress.
Are you on a cycle right now? What's your goal weight?
No I'm not on right now. Goal weight is around 240lbs, at least that's the goal right now. Currently I'm trying to harden up, and stay around 200-210. After that I'll start gaining again, depending on how my body feels.
What's your ideal weight and bodyfat? Are you trying to go pro? Sounds like pro weight at your height haha
5'6"-5'7" goal weight probably as heavy as I can get and as low of bf as I can get. Yea the idea is to compete with the intention of becoming pro.
I hate to talk about that though right now I'm focused on now, and the next year or so. Not what's the goal 6-10 years from now.
Fair enough. Excellent goal.
Where are your most recent pics?
I discovered my rom for my s3 effed my camera up. I'll try to post some tomorrow or Sunday.
