All of the above. Some good music can help too. I stopped drinking alcohol several years ago, but honestly that always seemed to increase stress one way or another. And unfortunately I still like to have a chew sometimes if that counts, I know I shouldn't but dammit I enjoy it so much lol.
All those are at the top of my list.
Another way I like to free my mind and relieve stress is to jump on my quad and just blast around in 5th pinned wide open and down shifting to power slide or drift around corners. Nothing better than a little shread session with the wind blowing over my bald ass head.
I like to get outside. Climb a mountain. Go hiking. Primitive camping. Kayak/canoe. Nothing bothers me out there.
LSD
Making music
Meditating
Making new friends
Music is the only thing that I can really add to that list.
I like to design and build stuff for fun, but that may not apply to you.
Bagwork.
Trip to the gun range
add to that: Ashwagandha
driving at or near your limits
BJs
Walking can be good, music helps a lot as well
Watching tv series/shows is maybe my favourite getting over/letting go techinque- basically watching something that you really can get into draws your attention, and stop your mind wondering and thining about same thing over and over again, and it basically fits into "time heals all wounds"
Blowing off steam is good but over the years I've found its better to eliminate the source of your stress instead of seeking relief from it.

You scared them. ;-) Back before I set up my home gym, when ever I decided to go hit the bag, all the cardio bunnies looked disturbed at the violence. Also there was a character that would come in and make "karate" noises when he Jackie Chan-ed the bag. Next thing you know the bag is gone. When they put a sign out that said please be quiet when dead lifting, I knew it was time to be on my way.
Stress relief of choice for me is a glass of wine now and again plus my new found ability to let shit go.

CD - really surprised you haven't mentioned Holosync by centrepoint.
For those who aren't aware of it, it is meditational programme for dummies. The noises that come throught the headphones put your mind into meditational states deeper than experienced zen monks, which creates more positive pathways in the brain for future use. It works really well too.
Can't beat bagwork though IMO, 300 million years of evolution has made guys really enjoy punching things, and in the modern world, you get in trouble for that most of the time - no wonder we are stressed!
"High paying job," how about low paying job. Now that is stressful.
That is a very good point, although i had the stress free time of my life when i was in a low paid job. I guess if you are in a LPJ with kids and a mortgage then that is high stress and entirely different to bumming around by the sea as a singleton. High paid job generally brings big responsibility and high stress though.
I guess it is more about how you handle the stress than anything else. I can tell you one thing for sure, it is miles easier to handle stress with a decent hormone profile. Create a decent hormone profile and you don't even realise you're under stress, in fact you can enjoy it and thrive off it. I guess that's why people thrive on stress right up to the point when they don't, then they go into a tailspin.
