you should have just gone and thrown some plate on that bar and started doing squats as he laid there. Eat a shit load of beans the night before your next leg day so you can gas him also.

I can feel the frustration man!! Same thing here... Alrdy saw a guy doing crunches in the squat rack! I was pissed
Not really about confrontations and my aggression has been elevated significantly from the stano, and I find myself a little short lately. The kids around here with the mentality to block the squat rack so they can dumbell press(when there is a designated area for that) are the same kids who will want to prove something. Some kind of privileged ego bull shit attitude. I don't need any run-ins with the local PD either, and my first assault charges will not and are not ment for that kid.

That takes the cake.
Bench may have already been over there from someone using it on the smith machine, but dude still had to carry the dumbbells over there, and had the mentality that he could take up that while area, all while doing some super set with like 3 other exercises. God knows how long he was there before I came to the gym.
This is the same kind of guy that curls right up against the DB rack, in front of the mirror, blocking others from getting the Dumbells they need.
I usually go off on a loud, profanity-laden tirade so they can hear me when they're being discourteous.
I still find it odd that most gyms only have 1-2 squat racks when it is by far the most important piece of equipment in the gym. If I owned a gym I'd have a wall of squat racks but it's a profit thing and I would guess that 80%+ of a gyms members don't use it.
