    Ben's story so far

Hi guys, first off it's good to see people with some positivity. If I come across skeptical it's only because I have pssd(persistent, ssri, sexual, dysfunction) and am unsure if I should try the protocol you are following. There are many similarities in symptoms but the drug I took was an antidepressant so it will no doubt have affected my body in different but maybe similar ways.

Little background. I took Prozac for a month which immediately gave me sexual dysfunction. When I stopped taking it(7months ago) the sexual problems continued. I did stupidly try a few more antidepressants but am now off them all for 5 and half months.

    My symptoms
Erectile dysfunction: can get 50% hard with allot of effort
    Very weak morning wood :
    Penile shrinkage :
    Low libido:
Sexual activity isn't enjoyable maybe due to reduction in sensitivity:
    Emotional numbing:
Stomach problems: bloating, slow gut motility. Although am unsure if stomach issues are pssd related I believe they are.

    Treatment so far
I've seen pelvic floor specialist who said I have a slightly tight pelvic floor but that's all sorted now
I do cardio and wieghts. My Reason for cardio was it helps bdnf and promotes neurogenesis.
    Meditation, yoga, cold showers.
Tried all types of herbs: Macca, horny goat, boron, fangreek, dasparic acid, pine pollen, gink biloba, mucanna prurians, l tyrosin, pqp to heal microchondria, NAC powder, inositol, L arginine
Diet: quite healthy, fresh fruit, veg, fish, eggs, a little meat. I haven't stuck to this rigidly but mostly .

After reading the protocol I believe cdsnuts wrote? I had a hang up on if it would help me. Great in depth protocol btw. The thing is my testosterone is actually quite good for my age, around 600 and this was before all my healthy living changes so should be higher now. Free T and all the others LH FSH etc all good levels for my age(35). I noticed reading the protocol that upping testosterone is constantly spoke about. Is this because ppl with PFS have low T? I think the antiinflammatory part and the fasting is very interesting an am keen to start. With Normal hormone levels should I even do the herb cycles?
Also I get the paleo diet is all natural and agree with the choice of suppliments like spirulina being small so you get from your diet but isn't the testosterone herbs in contrast to this as you wouldn't be getting those naturally? also upping T with herbs isn't perminent so if trying to fix a hormone problem this isn't perminent. That being said I've read some recovery stories on this site and it is working no doubt. Is the perminent healing process to do with upping hormones?
Sorry about the long post peeps and would love your feedback!!

I've had PFS since I was 17 and when I got my T tested it was 895ng/dl. I was completely sedentary during that time only occasionally throwing around weights. Yet I still had dry skin and sexual dysfunction. T levels mean nothing, PFS is likely much deeper than serum hormone levels. I've been on the protocol for 7 months now and it's really good. Not recovered yet though.

Spirulina is one of the most nutrient dense foods out there. It's much more nutrient dense than the T boosting herbs, although they still have obscure nutrients that are nice to have. That's how they boost your T. Spirulina and Chlorella just covers your bases nutritionally and are superior to regular multivitamins because they don't have any additives or bunk supplements.

I suppose I'm confused about how the herbs help. As they don't change androgen receptors they just boost hormones are they there to up your T and in turn make you feel better( physical and mentally) whilst you recover naturally with diet and exercise? Also has there been any people with pssd on this forum and did they recover?

I’m not entirely sure how each individual herb works. I know that Tribulus boosts androgen receptors, pine pollen can increase DHEA. But I definitely feel more “Mojo” when I take them and mentally they make me feel a lot better since some of them are mild neutropics.

    They also change gut bacteria.

Easiest way to think of it is that they are all adaptogens. They are just returning your body back to overall homeostasis in all aspects. By cycling them, your body uptakes them stronger and is more sensitive which makes them more effective.

Thanks zonz and tubzy. I'm gonna give it a go. I've ordered pine pollen maca and tribulus. I have horny goat already then I'll order more. Maybe mucanna prurians for dopamine.
Have there been many ppl who have been on this site or are still on here that have had pretty bad ED and recovered?
I see mainly ppl who have some erection problems but nothing too extreme. Unless I'm missing some threads/stories. Sorry but I'm struggling to have hope, I saw a little improvement over first two months of stopping said medication but then nothing really
