If someone has never undergone one before, the symptoms they maybe feeling are typically normal, but there is no way they would know that, so they think something is wrong, terminate the fast. That's the beauty of supervised clinics. These people have fasted thousands of people. They know everything inside and out of what to expect during a water fast. Plus it helps to have doctors there "just in case"
