    Hook Grip....do you use it?

Does anyone use hook grip and actually find it useful? For example I use a double overhand grip for deads up to 405 but after that my grip starts to give out and I have to move to a switch grip.

I have started toying with hook grip but there is something about it to where I never feel secure/comfortable starting the lift. Maybe just because its new? Small hands? Just not for everyone?

Just continue doing what your doing with the double overhand grip then switch. I only use the switch grip no matter what the weight is. Unless I'm trying to work my grip that is.

I have weak hands when it comes to deadlift and shrugs, I got the metal hooks on a wrist strap and that stretches my tendons out in my hands cause i cant get a good grip with the hooks.

Just get a few sets of the hand grips and work out your hand muscles during your spare time.
