Just watched the Tongyeong International Triathon in person; wifey was the race sponsor. Yesterday was the elite event; today the open with 1700 entrants.
Three blind guys who navigated the course with guides; a half dozen leg amputees (w/ prostheses for the bike and run); and 2 double amputees, one legless, who did the bike and run w/ old fashion prostheses (not blades) and a 60+ armless guy who did everything unaided (used a recumbent bike and steered with his feet and shifting body weight).
The human spirit can be an awesome thing!
Oh, and there were three wedding proposals at the finish line by competitors to their unsuspecting girlfriends.

Awesome! The wife is blind and is a physique competitor, former competitive kickboxer and swimmer. Quite the achiever that one. She'll enjoy your post!
