    i wouldn't be surprised if it was true. we're supposedly more likely to be drug users and risk takers....so steroids being heavily prevalent in us wouldn't surprise me at all.

    I think, and might be completely wrong, that gay culture might be more embracing of roids which also means they'd admit to it more since we know plenty of people never come clean about steroid usage

    Bodybuilding itself, in its earliest days, was much more prevalent in the gay community. Did you know Weider used to sell men's porn-like physique magazines? He understood who his audience was at that time.

    Quite true...in that gay people being more open about their use.....but I would say ur average gay guy just like ur average straight guy is gonna be like "steroids...those are bad mmkay"

    Interesting.....bob paris had quite the physique....I wish more of these guys were out though. It'd be good for the sport....inspire a lot of closeted people

    Bob Paris had a phenomenal physique. Perfectly balanced and beautiful lines. However, I was referring to BBing of the 50s when I said "early days".

    There is a lot of gay-for-pay that goes on in the BBing world. They don't have the money to bankroll their drug usage, but suppliers (in the old days it was docs) will allow them to trade for "services rendered". I know that's how Old Dawg get his...
