Thanks! Not a whole lot of guys go heavy on shoulder presses at my gym. It was pretty funny to see the looks on the kid flexing in the mirror every second acting cocky with the 50lb dumbells while I grabbed the 100's and just cranked out two clean reps, touching shoulders. He literally stopped what he was doing and followed me around everywhere, mimicking every exercise I did. I feel like I could have had three if I had a spot. 225 was a complete failure though, got it up part way, then it just came crashing down.
KGPL, you are a monster man. A true bull.
And for your age.... damn! Congratz on nailing the 100's for reps!!!
And I am still so amazed how heavy you pull dude! And double overhand... I gotta start catching up with you, this is just madness !!

Thanks! Deadlifting for me is all mental really. As long as I get fired up before the set, tuck my thumbs under my fingers, and don't think about anything else, the bar just moves. I have a great off the floor pull so it helps carry it up through lockout with the "momentum."
BBG- I know, my lifts suck. I don't know why I even try, I'm embarrassed that I can't even hit a measly 700lb squat.
I need to stop making excuses and work barbell benching more to get it in line with my other lifts. I just never feel barbell exercises in my chest though, seems like it's all shoulders regardless of hand position or how I place my elbows.
I should probably lay off a bit for the next week. I've been going in and forcing PR's every day, but this kind of training can't be good on joints.

I actually feel the same way about the barbell, i was having elbow issues with bb bench and bb military press. Ever since I moved to dbs I think I have made way more progress. I feel it recruits more muscles while working the targeted muscles.
I'm by no means where you guys are though, I hope to be eventually.

A couple things happened today. Bi's/tri's/abs.
1. Hit 285x1 CGBP. Didn't have a spot and couldn't go for more.
2. Elbows hurt like crazy. Feels like death doing skullcrushers.
3. Forearms are trashed. Any time I pick up a barbell for curls, I get shooting pains, regardless of weight.
Suggestions for the forearm pain? It's shooting pain that is miserable when I set the weight down.
Is the pain in the outside or the inside of your forearm? I'm dealing with a similar pain, it's on the outside. From all the symptoms it sounds like "tennis elbow".
I haven't been able to make it better, it keeps getting worse. Even taking like 2 days off and then doing legs it still hurts.
