    ^^^^^^ SO FUCKING TRUE
There is nothing like training with other lifters in a group. You feel like yo have to match or out do the others, LOL. WE did that on a DL day, the weight just kept going up.

I noticed in your 420 bench video there is a washer and dryer in the background? You guys meet up in someones basement/garage or does your gym just have them open?

I'm looking at buying a house and I'd love to build a gym in the garage.
If you can bench more than you can squat, you're doing it wrong!

Yep, that would be my coaches basement! I do have to admit that the ability to have a full gym in the basement or anywhere in my own home, would be amazing! But I'd be a little worried I'd slack off a little bit. As it is if I travel that far I'm going to make it worth it! I'd be afraid of loosing my intensity if I only had to walk downstairs. Plus the crew I train with is a big part of the improvement

    Re: Sorrow's powerlifting log

I've had a decent home gym in the past.. still have a small setup. I never go near that room of my house. There's something far more appealing to me about a gym away from home. I get so wrapped up in things to do around the house, I'd distract myself until I forgot about the workout.

Yeah I like the idea of being away from home at a gym. Its my church.

    12/27/2013
    short accessory makup night

    incline bench
    135 x 8 x 4 (speed bench)

    pull downs
    100 x 8 x 2
    130 x 8
    150 x 8

    Seated rows
    250 x 8 x 4

    seated tricep push downs
    110 x 8
    120 x 8 x 3

We had about 45 min to train. We were late and this is the other more comercial gym I go to, but still basicly a bodybuilder gym (with like 3 of us powerlifters)
My old lady squated and the I transitioned her into sumo pulling. Its been a long road but she did great tonight! So I'm in a good mood. Should be a light(er) day tomorrow with camber bar squats, leading into a raw squat pr attempt next saturday to kick the new year off right!

    squat training
    Using Elite fts camber bar
    bar x 8
    150 x 8
    240 x 5
    added belt and changed grip
    330 x 5
420 x 2 (lower back was shot from deadlift training thursday)

    leg press
    400 x 8
    500 x 8
    600 x 8

    calf raise
    600 x 12 x 2

Not well rested today, and not recovered. Was intended to be a light day and my body kinda kept it that way lol. Sooner or later it catches up with you and I cant express how important rest is to the lifting equation.

    Last training day of 2013
    12/30/2013
    Bench (all close grip)
    bar x 5
    135 x 5
    225 x 5
    275 x 5
    315 x 3
    Add hanging green bands
    365 x 3
    405 x 3
(at this point got in a friendly game of one ups manship with a training partner, allways fun to have a little added motivation)
    425 x 2
    440 x 1
    455 x 1 and the win

    Video:
Tim 455 close grip bench press, band assist - YouTube

Well pushed things a little further then I expected too with a new grip position on the bench, but sometimes youve got to push to the limit to find out where you're really at!

And the 655 pull from last thursday:

And my own personal goodbye to 2013. Started off with a 1840 total in multiply, and ended with 1595 raw. ITs been great having all you guys in on this ever evolving journey. I for one am happy that this group of people survived what I deem to be a travisty with the closing of PP. Yet through that great injustice, this site was born. And I am very thankful for the people and amazing companies that support us!
    Thank you all!

@ VayneZ : Kinda hard to tell lol. It fluctuates a little and weve got multiple days now do to work schedules but between 6 and 12 guys are usualy there.

Havent updated in awhile been extremely busy with work projects, and lifting. Signed up for the Lexen Xtreme summer meet its June 7th so Ive started dialing in for that. And I planed on checking max singles next month for the competition here. In the mean time:
New squat pr in the gym:
Tim 620 Raw Squat - YouTube

650 with band assist. We were using a box to set depth but I think I came up when hamstrings touched not my glutes.
Tim 600+ Reverse Band Squat - YouTube

Bench 425 touch and go. Eh always room for more power
Tim 425 raw bench press - YouTube

I dont know if you can view this or not. A visitor to our gym shot this one on his cell phone. 625 raw deadlift. This one upset me at the time because it was just so damn slow. I really need more power off the floor
