Login popup only works on main page

Hi, it's a slight issue, but for me the login popup you get when you click 'log in' only works from the main page. It'd be nice to be able to log in while navigating the page I want to post to. I'm running Firefox on OS X.6.8 (don't make fun) but IIRC this issue also exists on Ubunto Linux/Firefox on my other computer

The login popup does not work at all for me. I have tried in Safari, Chrome and Firefox. I also added an exception to allow popups from Swolesource. The only way I can get in is if I try to reply to a post and it gives me to option to login or register.
