man. i got a long journey ahead of me it seems. PLUS i'll find out if I have cushing's disease,elevated cortisol. my cortisol was 2.9 points higher than the highest on the range.

When thyroid output is low, adrenals always have to work harder- that may be reason for elevated cortisol, in any case its good to deal with that as soon as possible, because if you dont deal with thyroid your adrenals will get burnt as well.

As for your youth, there's not one of us who hasn't done stupid things in our younger years. But you are smart enough to have learned from your mistakes. Gotta respect that.
