    I've become aware of the role food has in insulin resistance, thanks.

    It seems we've come full circle on this one again because I have previously wrote that there may be value for Type II.

    Diabetes has became a normal disease in Asia because Asians, especially South Asians, are more likely to have less muscle and more abdominal fat, which increases insulin resistance. For example, even though Indian newborns have a lower average body weight compared to white newborns, Indian newborns have higher levels of body fat and insulin.

    It can prevent by :-

    1. Get more physical activity
    *Lose weight
    *Lower your blood sugar
    *Boost your sensitivity to insulin — which helps keep your blood sugar within a normal range

    2.Get plenty of fiber
    *Reduce your risk of diabetes by improving your blood sugar control
    *Lower your risk of heart disease
    *Promote weight loss by helping you feel full
