Iron Kitchen: Portabella Burger

Ingredients:


  • 2 Portabella mushrooms
  • 5 Oz. ground beef
  • 1/2 Red bell pepper
  • 1 Cup basil and bok choy leaves
  • 4 Slices swiss cheese


Recipe Instructions:
  1. Place portabella mushrooms in water in a skillet and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes
  2. On a stove top sautee the basil and bok choy in olive oil and garlic
  3. Turn the heat on a broiler or barbecue to high, coat the red bell pepper with olive oil and set onto direct flame. Turn until it is fully charred.
  4. Using the cooler side of the grill cook the burger until there is little to no pink
  5. Put the fully charred bell pepper into a vessel of ice water and peel away the charred outer layer
