Iron Kitchen: Stuffed Pepper Boats

Ingredients:
  • 12 Oz pork sausage
  • 3 Pasilla peppers
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 Cups Italian cheese blend
  • 2 Tbsp Italian seasoning (oregano, basil and thyme)
  • 1/2 Tsp salt
  • 1 Tomato (diced)


Recipe Instructions:
  1. Cook sausage in a skillet until golden brown.
  2. Mix the cooked sausage, cheese, herbs, tomatoes and onions together in a small mixing bowl.
  3. Cut 1/4 of the pasilla pepper off horizontally.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the pasilla peppers.
  5. Place onto an oven safe skillet and cook in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
