    Where I learned to deadlift...

    There's 3 segments to this video, but the one I posted covers the deadlifting. Doyle Kenady owned the gym I worked out at for many years. This is from 1980, but he got stronger... held the world record at 903 for many years. I actually saw him pull a double at 950 in the gym circa 1989 and pulled 1100 in the gym for a single with wrist straps. Monster strength.

    That's a beast of a man and from the way you describe him he seems like he was a cool/easy going guy.
    Very cool you got to lift with and know so many different guys in the game.
