To be honest, I don't remember getting much strength from osta when at or even a little above maintenance calories. I mostly noticed a greater fullness of the muscle bellies. Possibly a bit more endurance and better pumps in the gym. Maybe slightly better recovery after the workout. It's good at what it does do, but it just doesn't do everything we might want it to.
