I can't see the vid now since I'm at work, but congrats on getting the numbers you did. Keep up the hard work.

Not all people can pull of sumo as it frame dependent and requires more mobility/flexibility. I'm built to pull sumo since I have long arms, a shorter torso, and a high level of flexibility.

I tried sumo a couple of different times but it felt terribly awkward and uncomfortable. I was always amazed that Ed Coan was able to switch between styles , since they are so different biomechanically.

He actually didn't have a choice. He had a major groin injury and was unable to pull sumo after that. His top pull was sumo and at a lower weight class.

Something like 820 in the 220 class if memory serves correctly.

Total beast mode. I imagine that record will stand for quite some time. I had no idea that he broke 900 in that weight class. I thought he went up a class before he broke that barrier. But I am a little rusty on my power lifting history. I lost track about 89 or 90.
