Fenugreek as effective as Glucose for Creatine absorption

In conclusion, combining 900 mg of a commercially available fenugreek extract with 3.5 grams of creatine for eight weeks in conjunction with a structured resistance training program can significantly impact strength and body composition in resistance trained males as effectively as combining 5g creatine with 70g dextrose. This alternative creatine supplementation strategy may prove beneficial to certain populations concerned with the negative implications of consuming large quantities of simple carbohydrates. These findings are novel to the respect that no studies have previously investigated the effects of fenugreek extract in combination with creatine monohydrate on performance measures.

What is the alkaline content of this fenugreek extract ? Judging on extract source and taste of raw fenugreek it's quite acidic , although extracting can add alkaline content. Perhaps there is some other mechanism of enabling unnecessary large amount of creatine to enter bloodstream. Either way it still doesn't beat backing soda with effective absorption rates ( not to mention baking soda is also short term lactic acid inhibitor - is used by some middle distance runners )

I'm not surprised to see an improved delivery of creatine with Fenugreek...it's been knows to activate GLUT4.

but, I'm suspect of these findings.

Post workout, I've enjoyed the use of different GDA's with moderate carbs and creatine.
