Interesting. Of course rat and human studies, while having crossover, do not entirely have direct application. 30% increase in muscle mass is pretty significant.
I could be wrong here, but I think human physiology has more (or stronger) feedback loops to prevent hypertrophy beyond a body's setpoint. However, I do believe that setpoint can be altered through AAS usage.
Drawing from personal experience, training naturally after a long (years) absence from the gym, I was able to increase strength and size significantly, but still not anywhere close to the degree I was developed during my AAS usage from years previous.

I do believe that the body is altered in more ways than just increased size/strength from AAS usage. Especially chemicals other than plain test.
I know for a fact that I felt different ever since using tren for the first time. Not good or bad... just different.
If you can bench more than you can squat, you're doing it wrong!
