Just like you wouldn't walk into the gym cold and try and max out, or if you were a newb at lifting you wouldn't try and lift crazy weight your first couple of weeks. Same thing applies here. Last thing you want to do is blow out your dick. Pump until just SLIGHTLY uncomfortable, then stop. Relax...breathe....let the blood fill in, them pump some more. Rinse and repeat. You may not max out the damn thing until a month or so. A side note, some fluid retention is normal and it happens after a decent session. My glans always looks a little busted up for a good few hours afterwords. Nothing but aesthetics though. Everything still works fine.
As an ode to this thread, I have decided to step up my pump game. Let the pumping begin gentlemen.
